The Satanic Temple leverages Religous Freedom laws to put After School Clubs in elementary schools nationwide, establishes first chapter in Portland, OR
The Satanic Temple (TST) has announced that this coming school year (2016) will find their organization operating in elementary schools across the nation where they will be offering their new After School Satan Club program to students. While the presence of a religious organization in public schools will no doubt be shocking to some, evangelical litigants — primarily the Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) represented by lawyers from the Liberty Counsel — have solidly established the legal rights of religious organizations to operate clubs in public schools.  In November, The Temple successfully established the nation’s first After School Satan program in Portland, OR.

Satanic BDSM Babies Crash Anti-Abortion Protest
In response to the nationwide Planned Parenthood protest, members of The Satanic Temple of Detroit crashed the event dressed in bondage fetish wear, baby masks and diapers and engaged in group flagellation.  The performers were then painted gold by adoring fetal idolizers. The action was intended to expose fetal idolatry and the perpetuation of fictional, coercive propaganda against the reproductive health organization. The Satanic Temple (TST) believes that the anti-choice movement’s obsession with, and mischaracterization of the fetus obscures medical reality and a woman’s constitutional right to choice.  Enlarged images of fetuses which are no larger than an inch and the personalization of mindless, senseless human embryos elevates the fetus to the status of a demigod.

Our Campaigns

Religious Plurality

Expression of religion on government property should not be limited to a singular voice. We will seek Satanic representation so long as the State publically endorses religious viewpoints.

Reproductive Rights

The body is inviolable — subject to one’s own will alone. Let’s put an end to politics in the doctor’s office.

Marriage Equality

Marriage is a religious sacrament and should be governed under the First Amendment’s protection of religious liberty. We consider state laws that restrict same sex marraige restrictive to our deeply held beliefs.
